FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

SAN JOSE, January 13, 2017 – The eMentor Program, powered by AcademyWomen is joining forces with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) to offer alumni of the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV), the Veteran women, active duty and female family members (V-WISE) and transitioning service members (Boots to Business – B2B) programs with online mentorship support. Young entrepreneurs will benefit from seasoned, veteran and civilian entrepreneurs through the award-winning, web-based eMentor Leadership Program.

IVMF and eMentor have joined forces to increase the number of successful entrepreneurs from the military and veteran communities. Mentors are selected for their expertise and willingness to support protégés after the intense entrepreneurial training provided by IVMF. All program participants will benefit from ongoing post-program support with mentorship, discussion forums, and relevant resources. Membership is free to both mentors and protégés.

AcademyWomen has powered award-winning online mentoring services for military, veterans, and military spouse for almost a decade. Susan Feland, AcademyWomen founder and president says, “Mentoring provides protégés with perspective and insights, which helps them through the countless decisions and challenges, which for entrepreneurs, may make the difference between success and failure.

“IVMF is thrilled to have found the eMentor Program to support our program participants beyond their training and through the challenges they face day to day,” says IVMF Director of Entrepreneurship Programs, Megan Florkowski. All military entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the IVMF programs and then encouraged to join the Military Entrepreneurship Program. Together, IVMF and eMentor are working to bolster expertise in entrepreneurship and support to building viable businesses which will eventually impact our economy and our nation.
